The Ninth China (Chengde) International Investment and Trade Fair forTourism and Culture and Promote Symposium for Beijing-Chengde Regional Cooperation is sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (China Chamber of International Commerce) and the People's Government of Hebei Province and undertaken by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hebei Sub-Council (CCOIC- Hebei) and the People's Government of Chengde City. The theme of this fair is "a comprehensive docking of Beijing and Tianjin, deepen regional cooperation and to accelerate the development of the park”. This fair is held by taking the advantages of Chengde tourism culture resources and Chengde's advantages location around the Bohai Bay and around Beijing and Tianjin as well as Jidong economic area. The purpose is to invite capital through the guests’ visiting and to promote co-operation with Beijing and Tianjin. The conference will bring forth the city's top ten investment advantages, the six major industries, the focus of the park to promote cooperation in a number of key projects both at home and abroad.

Briefing of Chengde
Chengde is a famous tourist city near Beijing and Tianjin with convenient traffic and transportation, rich natural and labor resources.Chengde has a lot of historical and cultural sites and unique natural views. Chengde Mountain Resort and the Surrounding Temples was listed in the World Culture Heritage by UNESCO in 1994.Chengde aims at the improvement of the conditions for investment and welcome friends from both domestic and foreign to come for cooperation in various fields.
There are more than 180 enterprises involved in import and export in Chengde. The annual amount of import and export is over $350millions.The major prouducts for export include those of textile and clothing, light industry, hardware and mineral, chemical industry, medicine, mechanism and electronics, food, local products livestock products, and gardening tools, altogether 10 series. Among them, steel, clothing, glassware, conveyor, Jacks, flow meter, traditional Chinese medicine, V2O5,hydrochloric tetracycline, fruit cans and coarse and beans etc altogether about 100 kinds are exported to Japan, Korea, and countries in Southeast Asia, some are exported to Britain, and some even to as far as North America, Middle East and Africa, etc. Chengde is rich in natural resources, and has formed a dimension for economic development.

承德市政府定于2009年5月27日在北京举办第九届中国（承德）国际旅游文化投资贸易洽谈会暨京承区域合作推介会。本次活动是由中国国际贸易促进委员会（中国国际商会）和河北省人民政府主办，中国国际贸易促进委员会河北省 分会（河北省国际商会）和承德市人民政府承办。本届洽谈会的主题是“全面对接京津、深化区域合作、加快园区发展”，此次会议是借助承德市旅游文化资源优势和环京津、环渤海、冀东经济区的地理优势而召开的一次以招商引资为重点，促进京津合作相结合的国际盛会。洽谈会将展示承德市的十大招商优势、六大支柱产业、重点园区，推介一批国内外合作的重点项目。
