Every year, the UNIDO investment promotion program office (IPPO) for Southern China organizes an international event dedicated to the fundamental business challenges in . This year's event will be held from April 23rd to 25th and its theme will be "Urban Agglomeration Economies and FDI".

For the last decade, the soaring economy in has been implying a situation of perpetual evolution for its cities, which, to remain competitive have had to find innovative means to attract foreign investment. Continually expanding their territory, those cities do not only require assistance in infrastructure development, but each of them also have specialized in some specific sectors so as to better target international companies and try their utmost to propose to those companies to transfer their technology in the best conditions.  

Therefore, by participating you will have the possibility not only to attend speeches from worldwide-known urban planners, UN specialists, Fortune 500 managers… but will also be offered five chances: 

- A great opportunity to meet the gathered mayors and officials from the biggest Chinese cities (Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai …) and be aware of their latest policy concerning foreign direct investment. 

- A business matchmaking session entirely dedicated to international companies, to let you develop your suppliers' or / and clients' network (cf. page 15 of the brochure)

-A "global exhibition", enabling every company to dispose of its own booth in order to advertise about is products, services or activities.  

-Four specialized seminars to which you can participate as a speaker, in order to confront, with companies and other participants your ideas on what are the best current areas to make business in . 

The organizer propose the following preferencial policy for SingCham members,  you will be exempted of participation fee and 50% hotel accommodation (3 nights in a single room).
