We wish to bring your attention to the following message from Singapore Embassy in Beijing: 

General Elections 2011                          
  
Dear fellow Singaporeans,                                               

1 The polling day of the General Election (GE) 2011 is set on 7 May 2011. 
 
2 If you have successfully registered as Overseas Electors, and your constituency is being contested, you will be receiving a Poll Letter (sent to your overseas address) from the Elections Department after the Nomination Day (i.e. 27 April 2011). The Poll Letter will inform you of    the overseas polling station where you should cast your vote on 7 May 2011. A similar Poll Letter will also be sent to your registered address in Singapore. Hence, if you are in Singapore on 7 May 2011, you can cast your vote in Singapore.                                        
  
3 The registration as Overseas Electors for the GE 2011 is already closed. Overseas Singaporeans (OS) who have failed to register as overseas electors are unable to vote overseas but they can cast their vote in Singapore on 7 May 2011.                                        
  
4 OS who failed to vote at the GE 2011 on 7 May 2011, their names will be removed from the register of electors. However, they can apply on-line (www.elections.gov.sg) to restore their names to the register of electors 2 months after the GE. For the restoration of names to the register, reasons such as studying, working and/or residing abroad are acceptable to the Elections Department.
