INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM MANAGER ---(based in Beijing)

The Job:
The selected candidate will be a key member of a team primarily responsible for managing the program implementation and marketing of courses where McGraw-Hill provides teachers and training to local retail education partners. He/She will also have responsibility over revenue and profitability of the section, assist in the preparation of publicity to promote activities, and administer the implementation of our programs.

Successful candidates will manage the startup and ongoing operation and execution of the course. Responsibilities will include management and evaluation of teachers and trainers, marketing courses in partnership with our clients, conducting occasional audits of enrollments and course quality, liaising with subcontractors and assisting in client relationship management. Other responsibilities includes but not limited to:
- Working with client organizations to execute blended learning courses and associated tutoring services
- Working with sub-contactors to hire or directly hiring qualified teachers, tutors and teacher trainers
- Ensuring a consistent, high quality of teaching through monitoring and evaluation of the work of teachers and trainers.
- Managing administration of teachers and project support staff
- Marketing courses in tandem with Clients, developing marketing materials and making presentations to prospective students
- Communicating with McGraw-Hill project managers as well as management in the Educational Services hubs about program progress, issues, risks and opportunities
- Conducting periodic audits to reconcile electronic records of enrollment numbers and other revenue drivers

Pre-Requisite/Expectation:
This job requires the incumbent to have some Education Industry experience and/or an understanding of the Education Services business. In addition,
• It is expected that candidate should display a high quality of education knowledge, be able to identify customer-centric solutions and deliver unparalleled value-added service by collaborating with colleagues in different teams to ensure provision of superior and tailored solutions to clients.
• Supporting project management, including following the project management processes established by Educational Services
• Candidate must be able to manage execution of educational programs targeted at a retail clientele
• He/She will need to be able to manage client relationships and sub-contractor relationships and problem-solve issues as they arise
• He/She will need to adapt to rapidly evolving business model and job requirements and work effectively across borders and time zones

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
You will be an experienced Manager with previous experience in Education sector. You are likely to possess:
- University graduate with at least 5 years of teaching or school management experience
- Must have a solid understanding of Education practices, operations, services and the challenges that they face.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and strategize and manage multiple projects
- Creative and entrepreneurial
- Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin with excellent written and communication skills. Strong English skill is a must.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a demanding and fast pace environment
- Proficient in using Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, Outlook, MS Project and Internet Explorer
- Travel estimated at 50%, but could be higher
