RPI is a “not-for- profit” wholly own subsidiary of Republic Polytechnic Singapore.

RPI Tianjin office manages and support Republic Polytechnic’s initiatives and programmes . As part of its expansion plans, RPI is currently hiring a competent business development manager to be based in Tianjin .

Job Purpose: Business Development Manager

The purpose of this position is to help RPI identify and secure business development opportunities as well as to facilitate RPI’s initiatives in country.

Main Duties:

1) Plan and execute business development strategies with a focus on training programs (education & corporate) and projects

2) Conduct research on client and contact base, establish contact and secure meetings with companies and education institutions for student work attachments, study trips, exchanges and other relevant collaborations

3) Maintain and develop existing and new contacts through appropriate prospecting, networking activities and continuous follow-up resulting in lead generations and brand awareness for RP

4) Be involved in proposal initiation

5) Meet agreed upon sales targets

6) Incumbent will be the go-to-person on information & intelligence in the education industry in country

7) Provide regular and timely report on business development activities and results

Requirements:

1) University degree in marketing, sales, business administration or business studies (other disciplines will be considered)

2) At least 4 to 5 years of working experience in a business development or sales position (education industry is preferred)

3) Excellent communication and networking skills

4) Presentable, driven and resourceful

5) You must have a demonstrable track record for initiating and developing contacts with organisations and generating income

6) Fluent in English (written and spoken)
