Dear Members and friends,
With the economic growth in the Asia Pacific Region, an increasing number of companies have included China, Singapore and Hong Kong in their overall business strategy. Currently, Expatriate Individual Income Tax and labour law are becoming two important factors for executives to make various decisions.
For example, there has been a significant amount of cross-border employments between the Mainland and Hong Kong or Singapore, etc. for a number of years, and this two-way traffic will continue to grow. The tax system and policy for Individual Income Tax in the country that they work in may be significantly different from that in their home countries. These individuals may encounter a lot of problems in respect of its Individual Income Tax.
On the other hand, when the new Labour Contract Law of PRC was in effect from January 2008, employers as well as employees have to experience big changes of the new rules, such as the practice of permanent employment contracts, new roles of labour unions, understandings of non-compete clauses etc. The purposes of this seminar is to provide the audience with some information in handling the Individual Income Tax issues for those individuals who are under cross border employments and in-depth understanding of new China Labour Contract Law.
