While your company may be engaged in an active social media campaign to win the hearts and minds of consumers, there are a number of technologies available to marketing teams that can make their efforts even more successful. Social bookmarking sites allow users to organize all of the best content from around the web based upon their interests and could be a powerful tool for companies seeking to get their marketing messages out to consumers. Mobile smart phones offer a tremendous opportunity to catch the consumer on the go and social media sites such as Foursquare have turned advertising deals into a game that consumers can enjoy.

This presentation will address the social media technologies that present the best marketing opportunities for companies.

A recent study found that the consumer decision process moves through four stages: consider, evaluate, buy, and enjoy advocate and bond. The enjoy, advocate, and bond stage,is often overlooked by marketing teams and may prove instructive in the construction of content for the consumer. For example, a company could use social media to create an opportunity for enthusiasts to exchange information on a particular product, sharing their praise with other potential consumers, which the company would supplement with attention-grabbing updates. This presentation will guide marketers through the best ways to create attractive, exciting social media content.
