The 16th Tianjin Trade Fair & Investment Talk, an annual event for promoting regional economic cooperation in Tianjin, is going to take place between 18-22 April, 2009. As one of the feature programmes during the event, Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Promotion Seminar will be held on the morning of 19 April, 2009 at Geneva Hotel Tianjin.

Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city project is another significant collaboration between China and Singapore following Suzhou Industrial Park. The two countries have determined to build together an eco-city that is resource-efficient, environment-friendly, economically vibrant and socially harmonious - a model of sustainable development for the other cities in China and the world to replicate.

Since the groundbreaking ceremony on 28 September 2008, the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city has made good progress as it embarked on the implementation phase. Looking into the future, Tianjin Eco-city is committed to becoming a platform for innovation and the integrated application of technologies in areas such as environmental protection, carbon emission reduction, green buildings and circular economy, a national-level centre for training in areas related to ecology and the environment, a base for environmental technologies, a model "resource-conserving and environmentally friendly" liveable new city, and a "window" for international exchanges and exhibitions in environmental issues.

The development of Eco-city is an innovative and pioneering endeavor which requires extensive technical solutions, knowledge and experience from all round the globe. We believe that the seminar will provide you with information about market opportunities in the Eco-city and give you an opportunity for interaction with decision-makers within the Eco-city.
