A group of more than 100 Singaporeans is meeting up on 8 Feb, 630pm, to stage a finale to the Chinese New Year celebration by blasting off dynamic fireworks in Beijing's CBD area, at New Grand Millennium Beijing Fortune Plaza, 23 DongSanHuan North Road, Chaoyang District.

We are planning to ignite rockets that may reach the height of thirty-storey buildings all within the city at dark. Supporting this event, Grand Millennium Hotel is offering drinks at 50% discount and free finger food. We are calling Singaporeans in Beijing to join us for this joyous social event, which is mooted and organised by a group of Overseas Singaporean Portal (www.overseassingaporean.sg) forum netizens.

So far, more than 100 Singaporeans have confirmed their attendance, with voluntary contribution to the CPF, i.e. Central Pyrotechnic Fund, which has already reached more than RMB 8700 as of last count. Hence, we are inviting you to bring your own rockets or contribute to the "CPF". A similar event organised last year proved to be a brilliant succes. So in the spirit of Chinese New Year, let's come together and fire up the heart and soul of little Singapore in China.
