To all Singapore companies,

You are invited to showcase your products and services in the largest Singapore trade fair ever organized in China. This is the 5,000 sq m "Uniquely Singapore Brands" Fair to be held in Fuzhou from 18-22 May 2009 and in conjunction with the 6th Commodities Fair Fujian China (CFFC). With the support of International Enterprise Singapore (IES) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB), as well as partnering the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham), this event is mainly organized by the Singapore Consulate-General in Xiamen and Singapore Manufacturers Federation (SMa). 

To help Singapore companies reduce the cost of participation in the Singapore Fair, the Singapore Consulate-General in Xiamen has secured the following for participating companies:
* No registration and management fees
* Free 3m x 3m standard international exhibition booth
* Free electricity and water usage
* Free warehouse storage
* Special hotel rates

For Singapore-registered companies which wish to enjoy IMAP subsidies and SMa services, please register directly with SMa (Non-members need to pay an administrative fee):

First Announcement 26 Dec 2009 / 首次发布消息内容

In conjunction with the 6th Fujian Commodities Trade & Investment Fair, a "Uniquely Singapore Brands Fair" (tentatively named) will be held in Fuzhou over a 5-day period. Supported by IES and partnering STB, SingCham China as well as business associations in Singapore, the Singapore Consulate-General in Xiamen is the overall coordinator and planner for this Fair.

配合第六届福建商品交易会，为期5天的“非常新加坡品牌展”（名称暂定）将于福州举行。"非常新加坡品牌展" 总协调策划单位是新加坡驻厦门总领事馆, 支持单位为新加坡国际企业发展局, 合作单位为新加坡旅游局、中国新加坡商会及在新加坡的各商会组织。
 

According to Chinese official data, the Fujian Commodities Trade & Investment Fair, which sprawls six exhibition halls of 5,000 sq m each, has attracted about 200,000 visitors each year. For the 2008 Fair, there were 355 exhibitors, among them, 150 were from 16 foreign countries such as Japan, Korea, US, UK, France, India, Holland, Poland, Southeast Asian countries etc.

根据官方统计数字，福建商品交易会拥有六个各5000平米的展厅，每年吸引约20万人参观。在2008年的展会上，一共有355参展商，其中150家来自16个国家，包括：日本、韩国、美国、英国、法国、印度、荷兰、波兰以及东南亚国家。

 
The Fair is organised mainly by the Fujian Provincial Foreign Economic and Trade Bureau. As this Fair is also one main platform for cross-strait trade and investment (i.e. targeting Taiwanese exhibitors, traders and investors, and 2 halls allocated to Taiwanese exhibitors), it has central government's support and attention. Leaders and top officials both from The Central Government and Fujian Province officially open the fair each year, thus giving it substantive recognition and publicity.

福建商品交易会由福建省对外贸易经济合作厅主办。由于该交易会是对台贸易和投资的主要平台之一 (主要针对台湾参展商、商人和投资者, 且有2个展厅设为台湾馆), 因此得到中央政府的大力支持及关注。中央、福建省领导和高层官员每年莅临开幕式现场, 是对该交易会的肯定和宣传。
 

In its efforts to distinguish this Fair from the many others in China, the Fujian Provincial Foreign Economic and Trade Bureau, has decided to allocate one specific hall of 5,000 sq m to a developed economy from 2009 onwards. For the inaugural move, it made its offer to Singapore.

为了突出本次展会的特点，福建省对外贸易经济合作厅决定从2009年开始, 每年选择一个发达经济体，在展会上提供一个5000平米的主题厅, 并将首个机会给予新加坡。
 

For the 2009 Fair, Fujian is inviting Singapore companies to profile and market both goods and services in any industry field. There will be no standard booths for the "Uniquely Singapore Brands" Hall, and we have full flexibility in the design and layout of the entire hall. Our exhibitors could therefore freely and creatively choose an exhibition size, design and style according to what suits their marketing strategy best. Our exhibitors would only bear the installation costs, while exhibition space, water and electricity will be provided free of charge by the organisers.

2009年交易会的主办单位现邀请新加坡企业在“非常新加坡品牌展”上展示产品与服务，行业不拘。本场展会不用标准展台。在展台的设计和风格上，参展商可以根据本身的市场营销策略，充分发挥创意和灵活性选择、设计合适的展台。参展商只需负担展台设计、建设、安装费用，场地费和水电费由主办单位承担。

Given an event of this unparallel scale (for the first time at a fair in China, a hall of 5,000sq m is allocated to a single country), there will likely be great publicity in China/Singapore,  thereby raising Singapore's profile significantly in China and that of our companies taking part in this fair. Also, given its significance and implications, this is an invaluable opportunity and platform for SingCham members to further market their brands. In such economic downturn, our companies can use the fair to showcase their products and services, and make a pitch for new business. Fujian itself has lots of potential for growth, and not to forget its surrounding provinces including Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangxi, as well as its neighbour Taiwan. Furthermore, there are plans to invite a Singapore political leader or a top official to officially open the "Uniquely Singapore Brands" Hall to further drum up its publicity and status.

由于规模和形式空前 (是中国各类交易会中首个将一个5000平方米的展厅设为一个国家的主题展馆)，本次 “非常新加坡品牌展” 很可能吸引中、新两国各大媒体的关注，并有效提升新加坡形象和参展新加坡企业品牌的知名度。在全球经济放缓的今天，我国企业可以利用 “非常新加坡品牌展”，积极向中国市场推荐本身产品与服务。福建的发展潜力很大，再加上毗邻广东、浙江、江西和台湾，其辐射范围之广不容忽视。此次展会也能吸引周边地区实力雄厚的客商的关注。 为了进一步提高 "非常新加坡品牌展" 的层次和影响力, 拟邀请新加坡政要或高层官员开幕。
 

At this planning stage, SingCham would like to invite our Singapore members to provide an early indication of interest to participate in the fair, and the likely amount of exhibition space you would each desire.  This would also help us plan the number of corridors and therefore the layout as well as publicity strategy. Early information on the type of products and services to be exhibited at the Singapore Hall will also allow the Fujian trade authorities to help us match-make and invite purchasers globally for our exhibitors.
