China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has the pleasure to invite SingCham members to the 11th Asia-Europe Business Forum (AEBF 11) which is to be held in Beijing from October 21 to 23, 2008. The Forum is a platform for direct communication between business and political leaders from Asia and Europe. It is immediately followed by the 7th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), on which CCPIT is expected to deliver an AEBF Chairman Statement providing policy recommendations on behalf of business communities of the two regions to the Asian and European state leaders.
With the theme "Seize the trend, Time for Action and Public-Private Partnership", the Forum will render in-depth discussion on the challenges and opportunities posed by new economic situations in areas such as financial security, energy cooperation, SME development, trade and investment facilitation, environment and climate change. Exchange of views and opinions on the topics will be highly valuable to the business communities as well as government agencies across Asia and Europe in their endeavour to seek better business environment and cost effective policy making and implementation.
State leaders from China and ASEM member will address the Forum at its opening, gala dinner and concluding sessions with their insights and vision on Asia-European business cooperation.
