The first Beijing Chaoyang International Tourism & Cultural Festival was held at Chaoyang Park in October 2007, in conjunction with the Chinese National Day holidays. It attracted an audience of 350,000.
This year, this festival will continue to be held during the Oct holidays. With the new public holiday system in place, the Oct holiday period is expected to draw in a even larger crowd this year. A visitorship of at least 400,000 is expected.
There will be five international segments for this year, i.e. Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and Americas, with active participation from tourism agencies and consumer products companies from these areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase and market your products and services to the Beijing population.
Business opportunities are available in (but not limited to) the following areas:
1. Singapore food and beverages: showcasing Singapore cuisine and snacks such as dried BBQ pork, curry puffs, nonya kuehs, chicken rice, laksa, etc.
2. Singapore handicrafts and accessories, including orchid products, Merlion products, etc.
3. Singapore-style fashion, including batik shirts, dresses, etc.
4. Singapore-brand lifestyle products and services, including spa, hotels, healthcare products, education services, high-end residential apartments, etc.
5. Singapore-related cultural performances, including lion and dragon dance, Malay and Indian music performance, Penarakan Joget, etc.
